Approximately 20 children who once lived at Casa Alba, have been placed in foster homes. The families get a salary from FCE, material aid when needed, and are kept in frequent contact in order to provide the levels of support needed.
Casa Alba was a good place, but it is much better for a child to live and develop within a family.
Some of the children, who were abandoned as babies, were taken home by their natural parents. Others have been adopted and some live in FCE’s family homes. Each child has been given an album with pictures from the first period of their lives, together with a film and notes about how they were developing. This is important for the children and also for the new parents.
