FCE wanted to give young people from the transit homes the opportunity to work in a secure environment where they could learn about employment and what it means to have a job. Therefore FCE started PRO Elim in the year 2001. A hair salon, a tire workshop and a car wash opened.
These are not operating today, but a lot of young people have had and still have their employment in FCE’s different projects. This is good for them since it’s very hard to get a job out in the society. Young men have been trained to work with construction and later on they get other kinds of work. Several of the young people work in the kitchen or with cleaning and gardening, while others give a helping hand in the special needs school, in FCE’s Day Center and in the After School-project.
